Since his 1993 debut album Doggystyle, the artist currently known as Snoop Dogg has changed his artistic moniker more than a couple times. He burst on the scene as Snoop Doggy Dogg, made a reggae album as Snoop Lion, and released a funk album with Dam-Funk under the name Snoopzilla. Now, through Instagram, the artist is contemplating going by Smoooth Dogg. Yep, with three Os. In an Instagram caption, Snoop/Smoooth wrote “I told y’all this was on another level! This name might stick.”
The potential switch-up is in preparation of his new album I Wanna Thank Me, which is slated to drop in February. His last studio album Bible Of Love was released in 2018. He’s also currently working on a TV show alongside Martha Stewart, titled Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party.
